It’s starting to be that time of year, where consumerism reigns and deals are made. So, why not get something worth it for yourself, or your loved one?
If you play any sort of tabletop or board game, be it ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ or ‘Monopoly’, one of the most important pieces of a game set are the dice. You can’t play most games without them. Some people have better dice than others, and some have lucky dice. Some have stock dice that came with the game, and others get nicer custom dice.
This is for those of you who like custom dice. These are expensive, but boy are they pretty to look at. The ones I have are just your run of the mill black and white, while my husband has some blue and black ones, but neither of us have dice as nice as these are.
I would LOVE to have some gorgeous dice like these from Artisan Dice, but as mentioned above, they’re not cheap. One die may cost you upwards of $26, depending on the die and the type of material.
So, what other types of options do you have? Well, you could always go with the normal plastic dice, while still being creative in the styling. The old standby Chessex has many varieties and stylings, and you can pick up some dice that best suit you.
If you’re looking for something a bit more interesting, and possibly themed, then Q-workshop is where you want to head. They have plenty of themed dice for any type of tabletop gamer (my personal fave are the Steampunk, but there’s PLENTY of others).
Feeling more “green”? You can head over to Dice for Change for a digital Eco Die to roll and let you know how to help the environment. (They also have Kindness and Wellness available.)
Or, praise the great and mighty Cthulhu every time you make a roll, with some glow in the dark ones from Awesome Dice.
Just know that wherever you shop, you have options. LOTS of them. It doesn’t matter what your fandom is, whether or not you want metal or wood, or how many you need. You will be able to find the perfect ones for you or the person you’re looking for. You just need to decide what kind. Maybe you should make a roll for initiative?
