We’ve all seen THAT guy. The one who’s so busy running his mouth after the movie is over, that he forgets that everyone standing in line waiting to see said movie. Just like Homer did with ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”.
Anticipation is building as we all await a new SW movie, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opening at the tail end of this week. From the small tidbits we’ve been allowed to see, it looks AMAZING. They’ve been trying to keep everything hush-hush so as not to spoil the public’s first viewing of the movie. Not even news media are allowed to watch the movie beforehand.
If you happen to be one of the lucky people to see it on opening day, please keep in mind that not everyone is as lucky as you. Don’t be a Homer and ruin the movie for those waiting for the next showing. Don’t hop on social media and post about your favorite part. Don’t write spoilers just to be a troll. Just don’t be THAT GUY/GIRL.
In fact, I’d like people to pledge that they’re not going to do that. Down in the comments below, or on Facebook or Twitter. Copy and paste this phrase, and encourage your friends not to be THAT GUY, too:
I promise not to spoil #StarWars for everyone. Don’t be THAT GUY. Take the pledge. #NoSWSpoilersPledge
I’ll start on the comments and on social media. Join me, and may the force be with you.
